Pastor Biar and his wife, Deb, have a blended family.  He has three children, a son-in-law, and a stepson.

Pastor Biar has been with St. Paul Lutheran Church since 2016. Previous to taking the call to Skokie, he has served in various states and pastoral roles.

Pastor Biar considers Texas home as he spent most of his formative years living in San Antonio.  He’s a fan of the Dallas Cowboys, Texas Longhorns, and the San Antonio Spurs.

Pastor Biar graduated from Concordia University (Austin, TX) with a BA in History.  He went to Concordia Seminary (St. Louis, MO) and holds at Master’s of Divinity.  Pastor Biar is also “preacher’s kid” as his dad, Rev. Henry H. Biar served as a LCMS pastor for fifity years.
